I get to invite any three people to dinner. The first one I would choose is Lainey Wilson who sings country music. I would invite her so I could get my very own private concert because I love her and that would be so cool. The second person I would invite is my sister Scout who loves country music too so she can see Lainey with me. The last person I would invite is my gramma Rose so she can make all the delicious food we would eat.

This month I read When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead.

This book is about a 12 year old girl named Miranda who keeps getting these strange notes from a mystery person. The first note explained what they wanted her to do but not really. They wanted her to write a story, but what story? The notes kept coming but who from? She finally figures out what to write but what about the mystery person?

I really like this book because it has strange turns of events. I also like it because there is lots of drama.

My favorite character is Miranda because she is clever. One quote that will prove this is “You were the laughing man.” on page 162. This quote proves she is because she finally finds out that the laughing man was the mystery person who was writing her notes.

My favorite quote is on page 149 that says “Well, it’s simple to love someone, but it’s hard to know when you need to say it out loud.” Its my favorite because when you love someone it can be hard to tell them but eventually you’ll find the right time.

My dream job would probably be a marine biologist. One reason I would choose that is because I love the beach and I would get to go there for my job! Another reason is because sometimes you need to take photos and I also love photography. I would also love it because I get to see a bunch of cool shells and animals. One last reason I would choose this to be my job is that I could travel all over the world to travel to different beaches and not only see the different habitats but also have a vacation as well. If I had this job I would make $45,000 to $55,000 a year. Here is a picture of a marine biologists restoring coral in the ocean below.

I just became invisible for twenty-four hours! The first thing i’m going to do is mess with my family because they always do that to me. Then I would go to In-N-Out and look at everyone receipts and call out their number so they think it’s ready. Another thing I would do is sneak into a concert I want to see so I don’t have to pay. Something else I would do is go to Knott’s Berry farm for free because I like their rides. I would also pretend I was a ghost and “haunt” my best friend Everly because she is so gullible. One last thing I would is go to Georgia and visit my friends then drive Florida and collect a bunch of shells and sea glass.

This month I read It’s Not Summer Without You By Jenny Han.

This book is about Belly a sixteen year old girl. Her mom’s friend Susannah just died and she and one of Susannah‘s son Conrad and Belly get in a fight and after a couple of weeks Conrad goes missing. Belly and Susannah’s other son Jeremiah go to find him. Later they find out that he is at the beach house that they used to always stay at. Later they find out that Conrad wasn’t skipping school he was actually saving the house that Conrad and Jeremiah’s dad was trying to sell. Will the house be sold? Will Conrad go back to school? Will they never spend another summer together again?

I like this book because some of the book is next to beach and the beach is my favorite place. I also like this book because it is really interesting and I always want to know what happens next.

My favorite character is Belly. She’s my favorite because she is apologetic. She is apologetic when she says “I’m really sorry for the way I acted that day.” on page two hundred two. In this part of the book she is apologizing for being really rude to Conrad on the day of his mom’s funeral.

My favorite quote is on page 256 when Belly says to herself “Happiness is a Slurpee and a hot pink straw.” It’s my favorite because when I have a Slurpee I feel happy too and so I can relate with Belly.

 

Life on my abandoned island is absolutely amazing! I get all of the pretty shells and sea glass all to myself. My daily routine is usually wake up around eight, eat some fruit that is growing around me, sit out on the sand for a little and then take a swim and look for sea glass. At about noon I go fishing and cook it for lunch. Then I look in this little cave for treasures and things that’ve washed up. After that I go to my house that I built with bamboo and get a treat for my pet sea turtle toby. I play with him for little and we take a swim. By then it’s dinnertime and I to go hunting. Sometimes if i’m lucky I can get a crab. After I eat I go on to my roof and look at the stars for a little, when i’m done I go to bed and wait for tomorrow.

One time for my birthday my dad got me a donut. But that donut wasn’t like any other… it had a candle. The morning of my birthday I had woken up all excited and ready to start my day. The first thing I had done was taken a shower and everything was off to a good start. Then I brushed my teeth and my hair. After that I put on the prettiest outfit a could think of and packed my lunch. I put my lunch in my bag and got my things together. SLAM!! My mom’s door shut and she raced to give me a hug. My mom ran to my sister’s doors and yelled at them to get up. By the time my sisters got up my dad had gotten there too. Thats when they sang me happy birthday. They started to sing but the last part, the last part “stick your head in hot lava”. It caught my attention and I blew out my candle. AHHHHH! My hair was on fire! My sister raced to the bathroom and brushed it all out. My only “scar” was my missing eyebrows and eyelashes and shorter hair but they eventually came back.

This month I read Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White.

This book is about a runt pig, Wilbur who gets sold to a little girl, Fern’s uncle, Mr. Zuckerman. After being at Mr. Zuckerman’s for a little while he makes a friend. Wilbur and his friend Charlotte come up with a plan to help him survive and everyone loves him. That plan then takes him to the fair and everybody gets to have fun!

I like this book because it has animals. It not only has animals but the animals can talk and it makes it feel magical. The book also has lots of surprises which make it even more interesting and fun to read.

My favorite character is Fern because she is kind. A quote to prove this is on page one where it says “You mean kill it? Just because it’s smaller than the others?” In this part she is trying to save a little piglet and that is very kind. What makes her even kinder is that she succeeds in saving him.

My favorite quote is “You have been my friend, that in itself is a tremendous thing.” This is my favorite quote because she has done so many things for Wilbur and when he asks what he’s done to deserve it that’s what she replies. Just being his friend is enough for her to do everything for him and that is really sweet.

I relate to the quote “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, when one only remembers to turn on the light.” by Albus Dumbledore. This means even when you are upset you can still be happy you just have to seek it. This relates to me because sometimes when I feel sad I can still be happy. Like when I don’t feel good and my friends cheer me up by joking around with me or something and then I feel better.

My hero is my dad. One reason he is my hero is because he does absolutely everything for not just me and my family but for others too. This is really special because even when he doesn’t have time for others he makes it. Another reason is he loves me so much and I am thankful for that. A third reason is he buys me almost anything I ask for even if I don’t really need it. He also takes me places even though he doesn’t have to. One last one is he comforts me when i’m sad. Those are the reasons why he’s my hero.
